Land use change between 1782-1860

In 1782 forest area claimed about a third of Veľké Pole, the population 2.4% and agriculture stretched similar to Pila on more than 63% of the area of Veľké Pole. To the north of the region there were large forests, also in the southwestern outskirts. Most of the about 1,300 people in this time were located in the same called village.
The population grew up to around 2200 people in 1860, especially in the west and the village Veľké Pole people. Unlike Pila the surface of forest (35%) and agriculture (64%) remained almost unchanged. Nevertheless a significant change in the land use change took place. In the north there was a significant decline of the forest, however, the center and the south of Veľké Pole experienced a growth of forest area.
