Hello, We have an inspiring story to share from our recent visit to the WeCan Women Development Centre. In 2024, two members of the WoPedyP team had the honor of visiting this incredible community partner to hand over a laptop that will be used for the duration of our project together. The handover took place at the WeCan Women Development Centre's farm, a beautiful piece of land allocated to them by the Mothapo Tribal Authority. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms. The warmth and hospitality of the WeCanWomen team were truly heartwarming. After a few friendly exchanges, we got down to business, signing all the necessary documents to officially hand over the laptop. This moment marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter in our partnership. Once the formalities were out of the way, the atmosphere transformed into one of pure joy and celebration. The air was filled with ululating, dance, and the sound of a horn blow to officiate the handover. It was a truly inspiring scene, with everyone coming together to celebrate this milestone. The energy was infectious, and it was clear that this laptop would play a crucial role in supporting the WeCan Women Development Centre's efforts. This visit was more than just a handover; it was a celebration of collaboration and shared goals. The laptop will be a valuable tool for the WeCan Women team, helping them to further their mission and make a positive impact in the community. We left the Mashemong feeling inspired and grateful for the opportunity to work with such dedicated and passionate partners.
